Frame is the portfolio magazine for Exposure 47.  In this episode we bring you articles from around the world as well as closer to home.

I hope you will enjoy this first edition of our portfolio magazine which highlights our documentary work alongside examples of fine art and landscape.  We aim to feature more of the latter two genres in future editions.  This publication is an introduction to individual and collaborative projects, and an open invitation to follow us through our website, engage in dialogue and discussion as a group or individually. We want your opinion and support, like a good print – see and be seen!

Description

The Exposure 47 group formed around the core ideology that members wanted to support and perpetuate the creation of the photographic image in all its forms; within our ranks practice includes pinhole, wet collodion, instant, film and digital workers as well as many print methods, difference is welcomed and celebrated. There is no room now for the old digital v darkroom argument, its all photography, with a wealth of ways to create and communicate ideas in a personal and aesthetically engaging way. And that was the point of the medium from day one; show the viewer something previously unknown.  One of these new technologies that has allowed photographers complete control of project work from exposure to outcome is digital printing; members are producing bodies of work in quality editioned books and fine prints available to view on our website, in our online shop and at future events, exhibitions and workshops.  I hope you will enjoy this first edition of our portfolio magazine which highlights our documentary work alongside examples of fine art and landscape.  We aim to feature more of the latter two genres in future editions.  This publication is an introduction to individual and collaborative projects, and an open invitation to follow us through our website, engage in dialogue and discussion as a group or
