Paul Gorman has had his fine art landscape work recognised and selected for inclusion in the 2014 Bath Fringe Festival which began its 2 week run on Friday May 23rd at various venues in the city Fringe Arts Bath is now a well-established component of the larger festival that includes theatre, music and comedy. Since 2010 FaB have awarded an Open Prize that celebrates a diverse range of genre including photography and it is this award that Gorman is in competition for. The image selected for exhibition comes from Gorman’s latest work “I have been exploring the concept of Phenomenology, the structure of different forms of experience, perception, thought, memory, imagination, emotion and desire using multiple exposures to amalgamate many different images of the same object. It follows the idea of knowledge built up or acquired by experience,” explained Gorman. The images are further evolved using the Lith print technique and are all finally selenium toned. The image selected is part of a collection Gorman has had bound into a hand made book called Impression More information about Gorman’s work can be found on this site by clicking Work on the home page menu and at www.paulgorman.net.
